Web Conferencing for the Start-Up, Part I

To be an entrepreneur is to accept with grace - and an eye on the bigger picture - the many ups and downs that are inherently a part of the ride when you start a business. There is so much to consider and it is unlikely that there will not be things that you get wrong or that you miss altogether; but it is the tried and true commitment to those components that will ultimately decide the fate of a business that allows a company to claim it’s right to success right out of the gate, regardless of the future obstacles that it will surely face.

One of the challenges for any start-up company is finding the sweet spot between having the tools and resources that you need but not blowing the budget completely out of the water. In other words, there are very limited financial resources for any new company and while there may be a million things that you “need” in order to run a business more effectively, there is simply not enough money to go around in order to justify all of these purchases.

So it’s all about priorities. Of course one of the most important priorities is customer service – setting up new business accounts and servicing those accounts in a manner that builds trust and bodes well for future relationships. But because companies often do business with customers that are a distance away, there is always the challenge of communicating in a way that does not allow the miles to dilute the message or put up boundaries in discussions. And travel, while it would be nice, is simply out of the question on a weekly basis.

In this respect, web conferencing is often the most comprehensive and cost-effective choice for new companies that need to balance their need with their budget. Web conferencing, one of several comprehensive teleconferencing services solutions, lets companies have it all. More in the next post.
