Choosing Web Conferencing and More, Part II

Filed under: Web Conference, Web Conferencing — Web Conference Editor @ 1:09 pm

In the last post I talked about the launch of my new business and how I had much to consider in the way of financial decisions - and my policy of business operation. We wanted to come out of the gate with some fire; to be noticed from the beginning and to be able to start generating a great reputation right from the start. Web conferencing was just one of the things that we were going to be implementing right away as it would give us an opportunity to expand our business and really change the scope of our client base.

Web conferencing allows people to essentially “meet” online using Internet space. There, just as you would in a traditional conference room, you can share information, talk in real time, share documents with each other and more. Web conference and other teleconferencing services like audio conferencing and video conference have changed the face of business as a whole and we were confident that they would change the way that we conducted business. The use of web conferencing offered:

The opportunity to reach out to business prospects around the world. We were a start-up company with a corresponding budget. We didn’t have the money to be flying around the world to meet with prospective clients. We could, however, have them logon to a web conference where we could pitch them, share information with them and ultimately show them that we could give them the service they deserve no matter who far away we were.

The ability to manage effectively. We didn’t want to just work with companies down the street. The world had changed and we wanted to the opportunity to work with a variety of companies in a variety of places with no restrictions. Web conference would allow us to effectively manage projects from a distance.
