Video Conference for Churches

Filed under: Video Conference — Web Conference Editor @ 10:04 am

Video conference has become a key solution to groups from profitable businesses to non-profit organizations and everything in between. This widespread acceptance of video conference is largely due to its effective results, convenience, flexibility, ease of use, and affordability. These features coupled together create a powerful means to reaching those physically unable to travel to a meeting location at a specific time.

Many churches have employed video conference as a means to reaching more parishioners. By expanding their sanctuary to a worldwide audience, churches are able to include a much wider group of people. This unique application for video conference has become a positive and popular outreach tool for congregations in all points of the nation.

Video conference allows individuals who may be confined to their home or a bed the opportunity to take part in services. Many people are physically restricted in their travels due to injury or illness but want to continue with their usual activities including going to church. With a computer and simple internet connectivity users are able to attend church services from their own home.

In other cases those who are obligated to working weekends may also miss services. Video conference can allow these members of the congregation to experience an “encore presentation” of the service they missed. Video conference allows for recording of conferences for future playback. This is a very beneficial attribute to video conference.

Video conference also allows members of a church the ability to conference with groups from their church during conventions or other gatherings. This offers great opportunities to share experiences in real time face to face with others.

While video conference was once directed towards businesses, it has crept its way into many other organizations along the way such as schools and churches very effectively. Video conference has become a centerpiece to many churches in their growth and outreach plans.
