Web Conferencing in the Heat of Battle, Part II

Filed under: Web Conference, Web Conferencing — Web Conference Editor @ 12:56 pm

In the last post we talked about the ways in which modern companies are heeding the battle cry of competition. There’s no doubt that businesses across all industries have to stay awake and aware; to do what they can to stay on the radar and in front of those with whom they want to do business. Web conferencing can connect many parties across the miles – regardless of location - so that business can be conducted in the most efficient manner possible. In the last post we talked about some of the benefits that web conferencing provides including the ability to demonstrate the flexibility and versatility that is so needed in today’s business world considering the fact that companies are doing business with each other across state and even country lines. Additionally, using web conferencing services allows companies to flex their technological muscles and show their prospective and existing clients that they are able to compete and stay on the cutting edge.

Some of the other benefits of using web conferencing include:

• The ability to respond at a moment’s notice to any problems that may arise. The fact is that companies no longer only do business with those who are right down the street. But the reality still exists that issues arise on a daily basis that must be attended to regardless of the vendor’s proximity to their client. Those who are doing business today need to be able to respond appropriately to their clients’ needs regardless of time differences, regardless of physical location, and regardless of the economic challenges. Web conference allows for the ability to respond quickly and efficiently.

• Maintaining consistency. Successful projects require the participation of everyone involved and in order for that to happen, everyone needs to be on the same page. Teleconferencing services allow for the most effective way to update everyone on project status and answer questions – thus giving those in charge the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.

Web Conferencing in the Heat of Battle, Part I

Filed under: Teleconferencing Services, Web Conferencing — Web Conference Editor @ 4:50 pm

Competition is as fierce as ever in business – even more so when you consider that there’s less business to go around because of the economy. Any piece of new business that a company gets is because they worked hard to get it – edging out the competition in whatever way was necessary. So it’s not surprising that web conferencing has become more popular than ever as companies make their bid for new business. After all, companies may engage in business dealings with peers around the world but that doesn’t mean they have the travel budget or the time to be in face to face contact with them if the slightest need arises. Modern companies have to show their versatility – their ability to adjust to whatever the situation and the range of teleconferencing services that is now available makes that easier than ever.

Web conferencing allows for expanded communication when the logistics of the situation do not allow for face to face contact. Consider the benefits this extends to companies that use it:

• Having the ability to meet clients’ needs no matter where they are at the time. Versatility is the name of the game in modern business; companies need to be able to adjust to whatever their clients need and it doesn’t matter if they are one side of the country and their client is on the other.

• Flex their technological muscles. Let’s face it; companies want to deal with vendors in which they can have faith – those that they see as leaders in their respective industry and those that have their fingers on the pulse of what’s happening. Web conferencing is one of the ways in which modern business is playing out on the global scene.

In the next post we’ll further discuss some of the benefits of working with web conferencing services for companies that want to succeed in the modern business arena.

Web Conferencing Can Open New Markets

Filed under: Web Conference, Web Conferencing — Web Conference Editor @ 9:00 am

Expanding a company into new markets is a blessing and a curse in this economy. The potential revenue increases that can be tapped into in new areas are most certainly appealing. The cost of marketing and getting things off the ground, however, can be prohibitive. This is where web conferencing can really help out.

Whether you intend to take your business overseas or across the country, teleconferencing services can keep the costs of doing business lower. When audio conferencing is added onto with video conference ability, you can achieve a number of things from the comfort of your own headquarters without necessarily having to travel all the time.

When you’re expanding a business, some of the things that can be achieved through a web conference include:

Sales meetings – A web conference is an excellent tool to use in place of standard business sales meetings. This format is ideal for personalized meetings with a single client or even for full-sized seminars that involve a variety of participants. This is a great way to open up new markets without necessarily having to invest in office and headquarter space. The ability to ensure secured meetings that are personalized to clients can also be a boon in the name of convenience.

Staff meetings – Web conferencing works very well for keeping up with staff members that might be assigned to new market areas. Rather than having to pay for travel back and forth to corporate headquarters, staff members can log into the Internet to attend meetings, give updates and seek input. This format even facilitates using at-home workers to expand into new markets so overhead costs are low initially.

When the appeal of expanding into new markets is high, but the costs involved in startup are too much, there is a way to make things happen affordably. Web conferencing services can open the doors on new markets without the need to invest a lot in infrastructure initially.

Teleconferencing Services Help Businesses Thrive

Filed under: Teleconferencing Services, Web Conference — Web Conference Editor @ 7:36 pm

There are all sorts of tools that can make businesses operate more smoothly. When it’s time to find a tool that can help the bottom line grow without requiring a big upfront investment, teleconferencing services deliver. When web conferencing is tapped into fully, this seemingly simple business facilitator can help companies save money and make it, too.

A web conference is the online version of a meeting. Instead of taking place in a physical boardroom, it takes place in a secured Internet setting. When a reputable facilitator provides the backdrop for a web conference, the result is audio conferencing combined with a video conference. There are even added bonuses in the form of additional features, such as security, that the best providers deliver.

Teleconferencing services can help the bottom line grow by assisting businesses in making sales, marketing products and even opening new territories. This format is ideally suited to assist with both small meetings and even large gatherings. Some companies even use this format in place of paid seminars and workshops. Going online for meetings is more expedient and convenient than trying to meet face-to-face. This format is fast becoming accepted by businesses all over the country for the responsiveness it allows.

In addition to expanding the bottom line, teleconferencing services can help save on expenditures. When companies opt to use online services for their meetings, they can save money in a number of different ways. Travel costs, for example, can be reduced dramatically and even sometimes eliminated entirely. Plus, the responsiveness companies can enjoy in customer relations can add up to major savings courtesy of contract retention and more.

Adopting the use of teleconferencing services can be useful for companies that need to grow the bottom line while cutting costs at the same time. This alternative form of communicating can be as effective as standard meetings and perhaps even more so thanks to the convenience it delivers.

How To Successfully Prepare For A Web Conference

Filed under: Teleconferencing Services, Web Conference — Web Conference Editor @ 8:24 pm

Getting ready for a staff or client meeting that takes place in a face-to-face setting becomes second nature after a time. If there’s a need to switch the format, nerves can run high. A web conference is an excellent format for conducting a meeting that might otherwise demand travel, but there is a little bit of a learning curve that goes along with the proposition.

While there are some subtle differences between a standard meeting and web conferencing, rest assured the important features are retained. When you opt to use a video conference, you will have all the benefits teleconferencing services can provide along with full video conference ability. This means you can pretty much do everything in a web conference that you’d be able to do in a boardroom. The only real difference is the inability to close a deal on a handshake.

Getting ready for a web conference is also a lot like preparing for a face-to-face. There are a few distinctions that are worth understanding, however. To make sure a video conference goes off without a hitch, be sure to:

Select a reputable service – There are a lot of teleconferencing services out there that offer webinar abilities. To gain the most from this format, be sure to select a provider with a stellar reputation in the field. Ideally, you want someone that can offer a lot of bells and whistles while ensuring a safe, secured connection.

Prepare visuals – To get the most out of a video conference, you’ll want to be sure to have a computer-based visual presentation put together. PowerPoint and other similar presentation programs are generally supported by the best providers.

Share the appropriate information – Your meeting attendees will need to know where on the Internet they can find your private “meeting room” and they will also need any access and password information.

A web conference is a little different than a standard meeting, but getting ready for one will become second nature in no time at all. If a reputable provider is selected, this format can even outshine standard meetings thanks to its convenience and well-rounded communication abilities.

Introducing Products on Video Conference, Part II

Filed under: Video Conference — Web Conference Editor @ 7:22 pm

Video conference has changed the way in which many businesses work and ours was no exception. I was one of the “old-timers” who had gotten to watch the business as it evolved; I enjoyed seeing the changes that took place and how they impacted the day to day operations. Video conference, along with a variety of web conferencing applications that are now available because of the Internet, have continued to change the way in which we deal with those things that are very much a big deal in our industry.

The rolling out of new products, as I started discussing in the last post, was always a big deal in our industry. In the old days such a process meant long days and nights on the job – putting together comprehensive information in a variety of formats for our clients, vendors, retailers, and the press. There was a lot of information to disseminate; and doing it the right way meant that the most important people had the resources they needed to promote and represent the product in the best manner possible.

With retailers who will carry our products this can be difficult as they are all over the world and making trips to deliver that information can be costly. This is too much to bear in this economy and video conference has been a popular choice as a result. Through video conference we can invite our retailers to one comprehensive web conferencing program and there we can introduce our product visually as well as supply our attendees with the information they need – delivered right to them in a manner of presentation that we would use in a traditional meeting.

Video conference makes all things possible and gives us an ideal alternative to meeting in person while still allowing us to be effective and professional.

Introducing Products on Video Conference, Part I

Filed under: Video Conference — Web Conference Editor @ 7:21 pm

Companies that want to continue to grow and stay viable in a changing marketplace have to stay abreast of changing trends and adapt accordingly. Obviously the introduction of new products is an important component of staying current; you want to give your customers and clients something new to talk about – put another reason to talk about your company in front of them; give yourself another opportunity to continually market your image.

In the old days of doing my job – the same one that I’m doing now – a product introduction and release was a big deal. We worked night and day to get ready. We had focus groups and meetings and designed and redesigned the appropriate marketing supplements to go along with the product’s release. For those of our retailers who would be carrying the product we spent hours upon hours meeting with them and giving them information about the product itself as well as sending them samples and getting them as prepared as possible to sell the product to their own customers. There was always a lot of preparation for a product release; but the more prepared we were the better our chances for success and certainly the better our opportunities for sales.

Today we do things a little differently. We still prepare like crazy; nothing has changed there. But our web-based technology has allowed us to share information on a much grander – and certainly more convenient – scale. Through video conference, in fact, we are able to introduce our new products to retailers, vendors, and even members of the press who may not be located in close enough proximity to make a meeting possible or cost-effective. But through video conference we not only share the product visually we can share information with attendees in a “meeting” format and even address questions.

Web Conferencing from Start to Finish

Filed under: Web Conferencing — Web Conference Editor @ 5:07 pm

Handling a company project in this day and age is completely different than when I first started in this business. In the “old days” we had to meet with clients in person and have long phone calls in which we worked on projects together. All in all there was just a lack of efficiency in these long distance relationships and more often than not we wound up working with companies that were physically close to us.

Today, however, things have changed dramatically in business. We no longer have to physically be in the same space to work efficiently together. Web conferencing has allowed us to work on projects from start to finish without having to be in the same place. The web conference allows people to share information online – even sharing documents with each other.

In our company, for instance, we use web conferencing technology for a variety of uses. Through web conference we are able to meet with our clients regarding specific projects and share information in real-time. Audio conferencing allows us to have a variety of participants in a call that makes for easy decisions and effective conversations. Video conference allows us to see as well as hear each other – giving us the best alternative to meeting in person.

We are able to run our business more efficiently and effectively with the help of web conferencing services. We can handle a project from start to finish with the help of this comprehensive technology and it certainly allows us to communicate and work closely with companies all over the country and even all over the world without missing a beat.

Thanks to web conferencing services we can work at the highest level of efficiency at all times and show our clients that we are able to handle their needs no matter where they are.
